Western Red Cedar
Western Red Cedar timber is characterized due to its natural durability and pleasing aroma.
Western Red Cedar machines well, and is excellent for gluing, nailing, and screwing. It will also take painting, staining, and polishing, making it an extremely versatile and durable wood.
When freshly machined, Cedar goes from a straw-colour up to salmon pink/red and this will generally remain if used internally. Externally Cedar is very durable and over time will discolour if not maintained.
