Grown in the central region of Europe, European Oak grows slowly, producing a uniform colour and straight grain. Greyish-brown to yellowish-brown in colour, the character of European Oak is heavily influenced by the conditions it grows in. European Oak should be used where external joinery is required and not American white Oak.
Takes glue, nails and screws well. Open to a wide range of finishes. European Oak can be finished to an exceptionally high standard, drastically enhancing the true beauty of this wood.
Medium to coarse in texture, the working properties of European Oak can vary from fairly easy to moderately difficult depending on growth conditions.
